Inspired Images: The Art of Faiths is a full coloured illustrated catalogue of the latest collection in the Art Gallery at the Abbey Museum.
The book covers the variety of objects - paintings, sculpture, ceramics, stained glass and paper - curated from the collection, covering a time period of 3000 years from all parts of the world. The paintings and sculpture represent one of the most significant collections of medieval, Renaissance and Baroque art in Australia.
Beautifully designed by one of Queensland’s leading graphic artists Andrae Pilcher and written by Michael Strong, Senior Curator at the Abbey Museum, and Julia Jackson, Art Researcher, its 104 pages tell of the history and artistic significance of each artefact and painting in the collection.
