Gladiator Figurines (GW)

A set of four metal figurines depicting various ancient roman gladiators (40mm tall).

- The Secutor. Trained to use a tall rectangular shield and a small sword he was specifically trained to fight the retiarius.

- The Retiarius. Equiped with a trident, a dagger and a net. They commonly fought secutores or mirmillones. 

- The Thracian. Featuring a broad-rimmed helmet, a small shield and two thigh-length greaves and favoured a curved sword (sica).  

- The Samnite. Armed with a sword, a large shield and wore a boiled leather greave and visored helmet.
