Medieval Coin Earrings
In early Medieval times the only people wealthy enough to afford jewels and fine metals were Nobility and Royalty.
The coins reproduced here were taken from a quarter noble, a gold coin struck just after 1344. Medieval coins were hand made with a die. Two dies were needed for each coin, one for the head and one for the tail.
