Roman Dolphin Pendant
Roman and Greek times, dolphins and other sea creatures were very popular. They appeared on art, architecture, mosaics and jewellery. Dolphins were a favourite as they were attributed to the Roman water god Neptune and the Greek god of the sea, Poseidon. Serpents and other sea beasts were also used in jewellery on finger rings, torcs and necklaces.
This Dolphin Pendant is made from 22ct gold plated lead-free pewter and is supplied on a waxed cord.
