Viking Silver Coin Magnet (MW)

Silver was the real currency of the Viking Age. As a result of both their raiding and trade, they would attain fragments of cut and bent silver items, mix them together, to produce hacksilver. Hacksilver, also known in pre- and post-coinage were used as currency by weight.
